{"id":22,"date":"2019-11-20T10:49:52","date_gmt":"2019-11-20T09:49:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nbc-journal.org\/?page_id=22"},"modified":"2023-02-28T08:51:03","modified_gmt":"2023-02-28T07:51:03","slug":"statments","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.nbc-journal.org\/?page_id=22","title":{"rendered":"Statments"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Ethical Guidelines for Nova\nBiotechnologica <em>et<\/em> Chimica<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to ensure that works published\nin Nova Biotechnologica <em>et<\/em> Chimica\nare reliable and meet the ethical standards expected by the global scientific\ncommunity, we have developed the following code of ethics to support editors,\nauthors and peer reviewers in understanding the standards of behaviour they\nshould follow in performing their roles in the journal publishing process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Editors<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The editors of Nova Biotechnologica <em>et<\/em> Chimica accept and evaluate submitted\nmanuscripts for their intellectual content regardless of race, gender,\nnationality, ethics origin, political philosophy, religious belief or sexual\norientation of the authors. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Editors must not disclose any\ninformation about a&nbsp;submitted manuscript to anyone other than the\ncorresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers,\nand the publisher, as appropriate. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Editors decide whether manuscripts will\nbe accepted, rejected or need to be revised prior to acceptance. The publishing\ndecision is based on the recommendation of the journal&#8217;s reviewers. Editors can\nreject manuscript at any stage of reviewing process in case the manuscript does\nnot meet the qualitative or formal standards of the journal.&nbsp; <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unpublished manuscripts or materials\nmust not be used in an editor\u2019s own research.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Editorial assistance to authors is free\nof charge; editors can have no benefit from publication of any manuscript. Editors should pass manuscripts in which they have potential conflicts\nof interests to another member of the editorial board to review and consider.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Authors<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Authors declare in Letter to the Editor (or within e-mail) that paper is\ntheir own, original and unpublished work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Authors guarantee that the manuscript has not been copied or (self)plagiarised\n(in whole or in part). Manuscripts should contain sufficient details and all\nrelevant references to allow reproducibility of the work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Authors guarantee that&nbsp;the results are presented in the manuscript\nclearly, honestly, and without fabrication, falsification or inappropriate data\nmanipulation (including image-based manipulation). <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All used information resources (phrases, data, images, \u2026)&nbsp; must be\nproperly cited or quoted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Affiliation (all authors\/co-authors) and corresponding address&nbsp;\n(main author) must be clearly stated <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adding and\/or deleting authors during the revision stages should be\nexplained in detail by authors; the complete agreement with signatures of all\nauthors will be required by editors in this case.&nbsp; Changes to authorship cannot be made after\nacceptance of a manuscript.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Authors should include information on sources of funding, potential\nconflicts of interest (financial or non-financial), informed consent if the\nresearch involved human participants, and a statement on the welfare of animals\nif the research involved animals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Corresponding authors ensure all\ncontributors have approved the final version of the manuscript and its\nsubmission to the journal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When authors recognize an error or\ninaccuracy in own published work, it is their obligation to notify the\nEditor-in-Chief and cooperate with the editor to correct or retract the paper.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Reviewers<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Reviewers must treat all submitted manuscripts as confidential\ndocuments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Reviewers must keep confidential all information\/ideas obtained\nduring the peer review process and must not use them for personal advantage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review of manuscripts should be conducted objectively and politely but\nstrictly and rigorously.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Suggestions and comments of Reviewers should be supported with\narguments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Licensing&nbsp; &amp; Rights<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All papers published in the Nova Biotechnologica et Chimica (NBC)&nbsp; are published under a CC-BY licence (<a href=\"https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by\/4.0\">CC-BY 4.0<\/a>). Published materials can be shared (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format) and adapted (remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially) with specifying the author(s).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Plagiarism Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All articles in the NBC are supposed to be original. Authors submitting manuscript declared&nbsp; that submitted&nbsp; manuscript is original and has not previously been published in thereof&nbsp; and that no part of the article has been prepared from other published material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>University of SS. Cyril and Methodius, as a publisher of scholarly\/scientific publications, is a member of the Crossref \u2013 Digital Object Identifier (DOI) Registration Agency of the International DOI Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jmbfs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/crossref.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3918\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>As a member of Crossref, the SciCell participate on publishers plagiarism prevention initiative and used service Similarity Check (Turnitin \u2013 database iThenticate), which helps editors compare of own submitted content\/articles for originality\/similarity to other published academic and non-academic content on the web.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jmbfs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/crossref_similaritycheck.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5283\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Screening software is applicate by editors of the Nova Biotechnologica et Chimica (NBC), too. Plagiarism control is a part of last evaluation process of manuscripts after paper submit and before the acceptance. Results this act are important for manuscript acceptation, or not. When plagiarism from 0 to 50 % has been detected, manuscript will be sent to author for content revision.
